I just graduated from Duke last May with my BS in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience. Now I am living and working in Durham, hoping to gain more experiences before I apply to graduate school in about two years. I have tutored for a total of six years throughout high school and college, so I have a lot of experience with tutoring students of all ages in a variety of subjects. I just graduated from Duke with my BS in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience. I completed my senior year independent research project with Dr. Geraldine Dawson, in which we studied the effects of music based therapy for people with autism. I also interned one summer at the UC Davis MIND Institute, where I worked in a lab that used fMRI and neuropsychology assessments to test adolescents with autism. I also worked at a children's birthday party facility that regularly held "autism-friendly nights". At these events, I got to interact and play with children on he spectrum with a wide range of needs and abilities. I have really enjoyed my experiences with people with autism thus far, and I hope to pursue autism research in graduate school.

ADD/ADHD
I just graduated from Duke with my BS in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience. I interned one summer at the UC Davis MIND Institute, where I worked in a lab that used fMRI and neuropsychology assessments to test adolescents with autism and ADHD. As for tutoring children with ADHD, I have two years of experience with tutoring elementary-aged students with ADHD and other learning disabilities in Durham Public Schools. I am very comfortable working with students with a wide range of ability levels.

Ann N. from Raleigh, NC
My daughter asked for a tutor for her AP Stat class, and after several tries, we were so lucky to have Jennifer. Not only did Jennifer answer her questions, but she also went over previous material to ensure that my daughter had a good understanding. She practiced more questions with her and showed her different ways to analyze problems (and reinforced by going over step by step). This really boosted my daughter’s confidence, especially going into her final exam. My daughter said “Jennifer really cares!†I would highly recommend Jennifer as a tutor.
